Payment is credited directly to the beneficiary’s Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT every month. Women already receiving Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, or Disability Pension will continue receiving their existing pension and will also receive this scheme benefit separately — pension will not be deducted.

Important for SC Women: SC category must be selected correctly during registration. If SC women accidentally select General, the system assigns ₹1,000 instead of ₹1,500 and the error cannot be corrected easily. Ensure a valid and updated caste certificate is carried at registration.

Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Apply:

  • Permanent resident of Punjab with a valid Punjab Voter ID
  • Age 18 years or above
  • Must have an Aadhaar-linked bank account
  • Both married and unmarried women are eligible — marital status is not a condition
  • Women already receiving Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, or Disability Pension are also eligible
  • ASHA workers and Mid-Day Meal workers are eligible (they are not regular government employees)

Who Cannot Apply:

  • Current or retired employees of Punjab Government, Central Government, or any other State / UT Government
  • Current or retired employees drawing pension from any Public Sector Undertaking, Statutory Board, Corporation, Commission, or Tribunal under State or Central Government
  • Income tax payers who paid income tax of ₹1 or more in the last financial year
  • Serving or former Minister, Member of Parliament (MP), or Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA)
  • Spouse of a serving Minister, MP, or MLA

Note: Punjab Voter ID is mandatory as proof of Punjab residence and voter registration. Women who moved to Punjab after marriage and do not yet have a Punjab Voter ID should get it transferred or applied for first before registering for this scheme.


Documents Required for Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana 2026

Registration is being rolled out in two official phases as per the Punjab Government announcement:

Phase 1 — Pilot Constituencies (From 15 April 2026)

Registration is currently open in the following 9 assembly constituencies via 2,087 Anganwadi Centres:

Adampur, Anandpur Sahib, Batala, Dirba, Kotkapura, Moga, Malout, Patiala, and Sunam.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann formally launched the scheme at Adampur on 15 April 2026.

Phase 2 — All Remaining Constituencies (From 15 May 2026)

Registration opens in all remaining 108 assembly constituencies of Punjab from 15 May 2026. Women in these areas should prepare documents now — Aadhaar, Punjab Voter ID, Bank Passbook, and Caste Certificate (SC women only).


How To Apply for Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana 2026

Offline Registration (Main Method):

Step 1: Visit your nearest Anganwadi Centre or Sewa Kendra with all original documents and self-attested photocopies.

Step 2: Ask the officer for the Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana Registration Form. You can also download the form PDF in advance and fill it at home before visiting.

Step 3: Fill in the form carefully — Name, Age, Address, Aadhaar Number, Punjab Voter ID details, Bank Account details, and Category (General / OBC / EWS / SC).

Step 4: Attach self-attested photocopies of Aadhaar Card, Punjab Voter ID, Bank Passbook, and Caste Certificate (mandatory for SC women).

Step 5: Submit the completed form to the Anganwadi worker or Sewa Kendra officer. Collect the acknowledgement receipt for your records.

Step 6: After verification, the monthly benefit will be credited directly to your Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT. First payments expected from July 2026.
