Eligibility Criteria
For Technician Apprentice posts, candidates need a regular full-time three-year Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline, generally with 50% marks, with relaxation for specified reserved positions.
For Trade Apprentice posts, candidates require Matriculation along with a relevant two-year ITI certificate recognized by NCVT or SCVT.
Graduate Apprentice candidates require a regular full-time BA, B.Com, B.Sc. or BBA degree, as prescribed. Data Entry Operator Fresher candidates require Class 12 qualification, while Skill Certificate Holder candidates additionally require the prescribed Domestic Data Entry Operator skill certificate.
Candidates possessing higher qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA or LLB are not eligible for the corresponding Graduate Apprentice category.

Salary / Stipend
Selected candidates receive the prescribed apprenticeship stipend under the Apprentices Act and applicable Apprentices Rules. In addition, IOCL provides ₹2,500 per month towards miscellaneous expenses.
The apprenticeship training period is 12 months. This is an apprenticeship engagement and should not be treated as a regular permanent IOCL employee appointment.
