Preparation Tips for PPMET 2026

Understand the Syllabus First: Go through the complete subject-wise PPMET syllabus and identify high-weightage topics. Prioritize Biology and Physics as they together account for 160 marks.

Follow NCERT Strictly: The entire PPMET syllabus is based on Class 11 and 12 NCERT textbooks. Cover all NCERT chapters thoroughly before moving to reference books.

Focus on Nursing Aptitude Section: Biology remains the cornerstone of the PPMET. Key areas include Human Physiology (blood clotting, respiratory mechanisms, and immunity) and Genetics (Mendelian laws, histones, and mutations). The Nursing Aptitude section has evolved significantly — prepare nursing history, ethics, and public health thoroughly.

Practice Previous Year Question Papers: Solve at least 5 years of PPMET previous year papers to understand question patterns, difficulty levels, and time management. This remains one of the most effective preparation strategies.

Attempt All Questions: Since there is no negative marking for wrong answers (only for unanswered questions where Option E is not darkened), candidates must attempt all 100 questions to maximize their score.

Time Management: With 3 hours for 100 questions, you have approximately 1.8 minutes per question. Practice speed and accuracy through timed mock tests.
