NTA UGC NET December 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have a Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Minimum 55% aggregate marks for General/EWS categories.
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/Third Gender categories.
- Final-year postgraduate students can apply but must complete degree within two years of result.
- For JRF, maximum age is 30 years with relaxation for reserved categories.
- No age limit for Assistant Professor eligibility.
- Candidates with a 4-year UG degree and 75% marks are eligible for JRF and Ph.D. under NEP 2020.
- The subject chosen for UGC NET must match the candidate’s postgraduate specialization.
